“내가 너와 함께 있으매 아무 사람도 너를 대적하여 해롭게 할 자가 없을 것이니 이는 이 성중에 내 백성이 많음이라 하시더라”(행 18: 10).
바울은 아덴을 떠나 항구도시 고린도로 가서 ‘하나님의 말씀에 붙잡혀’ 유대인들에게 예수는 그리스도라 밝히 증거하였습니다. 그러자 유대인들이 대적하여 훼방합니다. 주께서 환상 중에 “내가 너와 함께 있겠다” 말씀하셨고, 그가 복음 전할 때 아무도 그를 대적하여 해롭게 하지 못합니다. 마침내 고린도에도 교회가 세워졌습니다. 고린도 교회입니다.
“주님, 저희도 ‘말씀에 붙잡히게’ 하옵소서. 담대하게 복음 전하게 하시고 주의 백성들을 모으며 주의 몸 된 교회를 세우게 하옵소서. 주 함께 하실 때 누구도 대적하거나 해롭게 하지 못함을 믿습니다. 저희에게 믿음과 용기 주시옵소서. 주님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.”
“For I am with you, and no one will attack or harm you, for I have many people in this city.” (Acts 18:10)
Paul left Athens and went to the port city of Corinth. There, being held firmly by the Word of God, he testified clearly to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ. The Jews opposed him and spoke against him, but the Lord appeared to Paul in a vision and said, “I am with you.” As Paul continued to preach the gospel, no one was able to oppose or harm him. In the end, a church was established even in Corinth — the church of Corinth.
“Lord, may we also be ‘held by Your Word.’ Grant us boldness to proclaim the gospel,to gather Your people,and to build up the church, the body of Christ. We believe that when You are with us, no one can oppose or harm us. Please grant us faith and courage. We pray in the name of the Lord. Amen.”
