“바울이 그들에게 안수하매 성령이 그들에게 임하시므로 방언도 하고 예언도 하니, 모두 열두 사람쯤 되니라” (행 19: 6-7).
안수 받는 이는 하나님 앞에 겸손히 무릎을 꿇습니다. 안수 하는 이도 하나님 앞에서 무릎 꿇은 이 머리 위에 손을 얹고 그들에게 하나님의 은혜와 복을 빌고 임무와 사명을 전합니다. 안수를 통해 거룩한 직임을 받아 그 직을 수행하게 됩니다. 바울이 에베소 교인들에게 안수할 때 성령께서 임하여 그들이 사명 감당하도록 방언과 예언 등 은사들을 부어 주셨습니다.
“주님, 저희도 필요할 때에 주의 이름으로 안수를 합니다. 안수를 하는 이나 안수를 받는 이나 모두 성령으로 충만케 하시고 거룩한 직임과 함께 그 사명을 감당하기에 필요한 가지 가지 은사들을 골고루 내려 주시옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.”
“When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. There were about twelve men in all.” (Acts 19:6–7)
The one receiving the laying on of hands kneels humbly before God. The one who lays hands also places a hand upon the head of the kneeling person before God, invoking God’s grace and blessing upon them and entrusting them with their duty and calling. Through the laying on of hands, a holy office is received, and the person is empowered to carry it out. When Paul laid his hands on the believers in Ephesus, the Holy Spirit came upon them and poured out gifts such as speaking in tongues and prophesying so that they could fulfill their calling.
“Lord, we too lay hands in Your name whenever it is needed. Fill both the one who lays hands and the one who receives them with the Holy Spirit, and grant them every gift necessary to carry out the holy office and the mission entrusted to them. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
