Today is the day that I have to keep my promise that I made a long time ago.

When Meeri was a child and about 3 or 4 years old, Meeri and I walked along the street of the city of Chuncheon in Korea. There was a bicycle store. We looked into the window and we saw a small tricycle. Meeri asked me, “Dad, can you buy it for me?” At that time, I had no money. But, I also didn’t want to say “No, I can’t”. And it became a very difficult situation which I wanted to escape from. Then I thought of a brilliant idea and replied, “Yes! I will, when you are getting married.” And my trick proved successful! Meeri was very very satisfied and even smiled. She did not know the meaning of ‘getting married.’

Many days passed. One day, Meeri playing on a long chair of my church, suddenly, gazed at me for a while and asked, “Anyway, dad, when I will be getting married?”

Finally, Meeri is today getting married. I want to keep my promise with my daughter.
