Paul set out with zeal to preach the gospel, but the Holy Spirit blocked his way. When our path is blocked, we often feel disappointed. Yet this is not failure—it may be the very hand of God. Our mission is led by the Spirit. When our plans are disrupted, we must seek the Spirit’s will rather than fall into discouragement. The gospel’s shift from Asia to Europe was precisely the Spirit’s intention.
“Lord, when our path is blocked, help us not to be confused or discouraged, but to see Your guidance even in closed doors. Let Your will go before our zeal, and grant us faith to wait with praise in front of doors that do not open. Lead us today, step by step, in the way You have prepared. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
